This program will focus on recent real life experiences in the sharing and/or consolidation of services by municipalities and school districts. The following questions will be posed and answered:

  •   What were the expected outcomes; were they achieved?

  •   How were cost savings generated?

  •   How were collective bargaining issues and union and employer interests addressed?

  •   What are the legal implications/considerations?

  •   How were liabilities shared?

  •   What are the “landmines?”

  •   What about successes?
